Week 3 Recap: Foamposite vs. Delta Force

Foamposite vs. Delta Force

Foamposite 28, Delta Force 39

I'm not sure if I was just tired, but the late game between Foamposite and Delta Force was a yawner at first. Both teams came out of the gates really slow. At the 11 minute mark of the first half, the score was 6-6. By halftime the score sat at just 22-15 in favor of Delta Force. Sureshot led the Force with 9 first half points, while Ron Jackson from Foamposite also posted 9. Foamposite's guard Do Kim dropped a couple of nice dimes, but his teammates failed to finish.

The poor shooting continued in the second half but behind the play of Mike Tumbarello, Foamposite made a run. Mike hit a three with 6:35 to go and a layup a few minutes later to close the gap to 2 with the score 29-27 in favor of Delta Force. But that's as close as they would get as Delta Force ended up getting the W.

Kelvin Coffey led Delta Force with 12 points and Tumbarello led Foamposite with 12 as well. Jackson finished with 14 rebounds.

Play of the game: Jose Carlson of Delta Force came from behind and swatted Brian Saul's layup attempt.
