Air Force 1 43, Generation 47

The scouting report on Air Force 1 is really simple: Foul the sh*t out of them. For the second straight week, free throws proved to be the downfall for Air Force 1 as they lost a heartbreaker to Generation 46-43.

Last week Brandon Smith and Christian Grant-Fields missed free throws down the stretch that cost them the game to Hyperflight. This time around it was the same story as Grant-Fields had a chance to tie the game late in the game but only hit one of the two free throws. To his credit, at least he hit a free throw considering the fact his FT percentage makes Dwight Howard look like Mark Price). Air Force's Chris Dowling also had a chance to tie the game with free throws, but he buckled under the pressure as well.

Besides Air Force's inept ability to hit an unguarded 15-foot jump shot, the story of the game was turnovers and missed layups. Both teams were extremely sloppy with the ball and even sloppier finishing lay-ups.

Generation was horrendous in the first half. Their top scoring threat Rafael DaSilva was like John Starks in Game 6 of the 1994 NBA Finals, by missing nine of his first 10 shots. Brandon Smith (or I should say J.R. Smith) for AF1 was also streaky all night long. He was also wearing some Barbie pink LeBron's.

Despite being down by as many as 10 points, Generation really got on their grind and fought back into the game. DaSilva finally started to catch fire and Joe Branch was putting in work as well as In the second half for Generation. As sloppy as they played, the difference in the end was Generation's ability to knock down free throws. DaSilva hit the game winning free throws and finished with 15 points.
