From the opening tip, Team Foamposite’s agenda was obvious: get Chris Dowling the ball and watch what he does with it. Dowling dropped 11 first half points and orchestrated the offense through the high post for an early 17-6 lead. The highly anticipated matchup between Dowling and AF1’s Jason Burke didn’t play out exactly as expected. Burke, who had 22 points last week, was double teamed and faced frustration for most of the game. Jay Corbin (seven points) picked up some slack in the first half, keeping the game close (27-20) at the half.

Team AF1 began to unravel in the second half, after an injury sidelined Burke (eight points, three rebounds) in the second half. Bang Lee hit his defender with a mean step-back, through the legs jumper for two of his seven points but the low post play just wasn’t there for AF1. Dowling (18 points, five rebounds) and Ron Jackson overpowered the post for Team Foamposite. Jackson finished with 16 points and team high 12 rebounds (his second double-digit rebound outing in as many games) and teammate David Jacoby added nine points and seven rebounds in the 49-37 win.
