- Team Terminator V. Team Generation

Week 2 Recap Team Terminator v. Team Generation

Team Terminator must have scouted well and realized the key to this week’s game would be speed. The back-court tandem of Eric Raymundo and Omar Grant looked a lot like a certain explosive duo out in the Golden State, with Raymundo dropping five of his 13 points in the first half to spark a Terminator lead. As Grant (17 points) and Raymundo dominating perimeter play, Team Terminator found their low post presence through Dan Gladstone, Al Reyes and Tony Forte. The trio combined for 13 points and owned the glass with 19 boards.

With Terminator seemingly in control, Dan Solomito made his best Dirk Nowitzki impression (complete with headband) and bombed away from three, keeping Generation in the game. Raymundo answered once again, with a conversion on fast break after one of his game high five steals, pushing the lead to six (34-28). Solomito (18 points, seven rebounds) wouldn’t’ quit as he got NBA Jam-hot and a pull-up jumper from inside the half court circle and cut the lead to two, with two minutes left in the game.  Teammate J.J. McGowan (nine points, four rebounds) tried his best to help Team Generation get over the hump, but to no luck. The combination of Grant’s sharp shooting late in the game and unforced turnovers kept the lead just out of reach, as Team Terminator won 48-44.
