Air Force 1 59, Huarache 66

Inspired by Delta Force in the first game, Air Force 1 came out inspired behind the dizzying dribble-drives of Bang “Japan-one mixtape” Lee (15 points, four rebounds and four steals) and Brandon Smith (who Kash-$ money said made his first ever two layups in a row in while playing in the NRF). The dynamic duo played well off of each other until Terance Takyi (25 points) put the clamps on up-top and Roscoe (11 points, 11 rebounds) got big down low. Team Huarache showed depth with Roscoe, Darius Broadwater and Eric Newman handling the low post for a 30-23 halftime lead.

Team Huarache capitalized on opportunities at the cup to open up the half, but Ryan “Buckets” Fisher (17 points, six assists and four rebounds) went a circus shot filled 6-0 run, to cut the lead 43-36 (10:15 left in the half). Takyi ended the run but was answered by a Lee layup. After a quiet first half, LeKeith Taylor (nine points, six rebounds) hit his first jumper in the lane to give Huarache a 54-43 lead. Down 10, AF1 wouldn’t let up as Fisher hit a pull up three and Lee followed up with a tre-ball of his own.  With the game nearly out of reach, Smith hit a four-point play to cut the lead to four (61-57) but time ran out on AF1.
