Delta Force 49, Foamposite 34
The third game of the night was a defensive stronghold, and no-one had a tighter grasp on the boards than Ron Jackson. Not known as a big scorer, Jackson had a six points, 17 rebound outing but his team was short-handed only running with five-guys. Delta Force looked to take advantage of that and spread the wealth to wear the Foamies out. Earlier in the week, Foamposite captain Do Kim said stopping Erskin Felix was the key to a win on Wednesday night and while Felix did have a relatively quiet night (five points, six rebounds) his Delta Force teammates took care of task. Treasure Kyn Neal (six points, four rebounds) added to the victory and captain Damian Bullock played the part of point-forward.
After last week’s POW performance, Keith Howland didn’t have it last night as he only netted eight points. Teammate David Jacoby, known more for his rebounding efforts and defense, also dropped eight. Behind the constant play of Brian Bachelor, Kelvin Coffey and Mike Won (13 points) this game was put away early, with a 49-34 Delta Force win.
