Hyperflight 45, Huarache 52

Huarache is a force this season in NRF. Watching them over the last nine weeks has been like listening to Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) and leaving the album’s seventh track on repeat. Simply put, Team Huarache ain’t Nuthing ta…well you know the rest. They don’t stop on defense, each player has a role and they play it well, they’ve seemed to drain the life out of opponents in the second half and they can counter every style they’ve faced so far.

Last night, Hyperflight had the return of Will Perkins and even had the help of Scott William, but still couldn’t quite bring the ruckas. Roscoe “Raekwon” Gibson put the clamps down up-top for Huarache and LeKeith “RZA” Taylor (12 points, 10 rebounds) maintained the teams balance. Billy “GZA” Dodson continued his all-star season with 19 points and fellow ’11 all-star Terance “Tical” Takyi added 10 points. Jeremy Siler had a team high 18 points for the Hype-men but and Jamaree Pinkard matched Perkins with six. The final score may have read 52-45 but at no point did the game really seem close or out of Huarache’s control. They’re ready for the playoffs and a repeat trip to the Garden. The other teams better protect their necks.
