So, where are you from?

Originally from Detroit Michigan.  I moved to Brooklyn in 2004, so I’ve lived in NYC for seven years

Where do you work?

I now work at an advertising company called Uniworld Group as a Creative Director. My main clients are Ford and the US Marines.

Now give us a little bit more detail about what you do?

Well I’m going to answer the easy part first. On my own I’m doing more directing and have directed a few commercials and now am directing an episodic documentary about people in Brooklyn. Yo Nike, if you want some ill work, hit me up.

Now the hard part of what I do, WHEW!  I oversee branding and advertising for our clients and ensure that the new branding and advertising fits in with the client's requirements/image, the way they wish to promote for their company or product. The main aspect of this role is to interface with the client and interpret their communications strategy, then develop proposed creative approaches and treatments that align with that strategy. I initiate and stimulate creative ideas for and from those involved in the creative process. IN SHORT: I sell sh*t that people didn’t even know they needed ;)

What college did you attend?

Well I went to Central Michigan then transferred to an art school CCS ( College for Creative Studies).

Did you play any sports in high school or college? Tell us what that was like?

I played basketball and football in high school, then played receiver and safety in college for Central Michigan football team.

Is there any difference from the way they play back home and out here?

Hmm, that’s an interesting question; I never really thought about that. Obviously there are some major ballers both in Detroit and NYC, so the competition is about even. In terms of style of play, I gotta say the cats here are more showmen. That’s good and bad. As an observer it funny as hell to see someone get sh*tted on with some ill move, but at the same time a lot of these “showmen” can’t finish at the rim. They can get there anytime they want, but just can’t finish. In the “D” people HATE to lose, I mean HATE TO LOSE. So some cats have UGLY game, but they just know how to win and finish.

How'd you hear about NRF?

Oh my boy Nook (Will DuBose) first told me about it. Through him I met a bunch of cats that play in the league. Darius Broadwater, Lenny Dixon, Scott (my team), Harold Reid, Jason Burke ect., and we all play at this gym in the city on Mondays.

Best thing about playing in it, so far?

Here's the fun part:
If you were shooting a video to promote the NRF, give me players you'd choose for the video, why you chose them and set the scene and why you'd pick that place:

That’s a easy answer. It would be two guys: my teammate SCOTT WILLIAMS because he’s just hilarious and so passionate. The other would be RAFAEL DASILVA, just from the last playoff game alone. He has no conscious when he shoots, he just keeps shooting, love to get into his head. So, essentially I’d just use footage of the two of them going at.

Lastly, if NRF had a football league, who would you pick on your team:

My beginnings of a football team would be:
Will Dubose at full back...quick and strong as a ox.
DANNY MILLAN at nose guard…just a hard nose hitter and gets the job done.
TERRENCE CHIN as our coach...scouts the sh*t out of the other team.
LEKEITH TAYLOR as a wide out…great athlete that can go up and get the ball.
JASON BURKE as a defensive end....just to bring the pain to the other teams QB.
LENNY DIXON as the other defensive end…relentless motor, never stops running.
HAROLD REID at corner…smart and quick.
TERANCE TAKYI as the other corner...just a ball hawk.
DAMIAN BULLUCK as a nose guard.....he just looks like a player on the D-line.
And I would be the QB, cause it’s my team.

Getting revenge on all the teams that beat us in the regular season. Remember I’m from Detroit-I HATE TO LOSE.
