NRF Power Ranking, 6.3

BC

10. Dunk - If you could take any point guard in the Uptown Conference at this very moment, you'd be remiss to leave Bang Takenouchi out of the conversation. In his last five games, he's averaging 14 ppg, 69% two-point FG, 3 rpg, 1.4 apg, 1.4 spg. That's ridiculously efficient.

9. Delta Force - There's a reason that Kelvin Coffey beats you down the floor on every single trip. The dude runs something like eight miles every morning. If NRF gave out an Ironman Award at the end of the season, I'd put Coffey right at the top. He's got pop to his step every minute that he's on the floor, and he has no problem going down low to help rebound against bigger bodies.

8. Foamposite - You don't want to lose three straight going into the playoffs. Foam has dropped their last two, falling to Huarache two weeks ago and then getting a healthy dose of Bobby Jones and Niko Klansek last week in another L. Mike Tumbarello had an off-night; for a guy who has been automatic at times this season, he's allowed to miss a couple jumpers every once in a while. He'll look to get his squad back on track tonight against DF with the playoffs right around the corner.

7. Hyperflight - Honestly I didn't think that 'Flight could pull out a win if they didn't get a big game from Lou Miguel. He's been so tough shooting from beyond the arc, and even showing glimpses of a post-up game recently. But they did exactly that last week, getting 16 points from Bobby Jones, and 11 more from Jose Carlson.

6. Huarache - Take that same question we asked about Bang earlier, but widen the scope from PG's to all players. There's no way you could have a conversation about taking any player in NRF right now without mentioning LeKeith Taylor. In his last two games, he's putting up 25 ppg, 66% FG, 5.5 rpg, 4 apg, 2 spg, 1 bpg. Yikes.

5. Terminator - I realize that Term wants to get Brendan Callahan the ball in places where he can immediately do work. But does that mean that he should play off-ball for the entirety of the game? The point guard issues haven't been completely resolved with this squad. Who brings up the rock against full court pressure in the post-season?

4. Generation - I promise I don't say this to try to psych out the members of another top-seeded squad in the Uptown Conference... But, is anyone else worried that Generation put up 36 points in their last game before the playoffs? They're off this week, so their last taste of the regular season will remain pretty sour.

3. Shox - When the going gets tough, are there two guys you'd rather have on your team than Will Eberhart and Jason Burke? Add Paul Rivera to the mix, shake their names up in a hat, and then you've got your 1, 2, and 3 choices.

2. Air Force 1 - I was thinking that AF1 should be considered for the top spot after breaking out the sneakiest coaching move of the season - a stifling 2-2-1 full court trapping press. Jay Corbin looked like Brian Dawkins intercepting pass after pass in the first half to build a significant lead against Term.

1. Uptempo - They proved that they can win the high-scoring battles when Scott Williams, Stalley and Mike Won run wild. And last week they proved that they can also grind it out and win a low-scoring, ugly one. Do they have a weakness?
