The second week of the NRF season saw a couple amazing games. And what comes with amazing games, but amazing performances. While we normally settle on one Player of the Week, we had to go with co-honors after such gutsy performances by two players.

In the first game of the night, Shox got out to a 15 point lead, but Air Force 1 battled back behind the three point shooting of Brandon Smith and got the W. An animal on both ends of the floor, defenses better take note of Smith’s ability to get to the bucket and stroke from beyond the arc. Getting his first start of the season, Smith finished with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 three-pointers.

In the third game, Dunk’s Will Blunt picked up right where he left off last season against a tough Huarache team. A monster on the glass all night, Blunt finished with 18 rebounds (five on the offensive end) and 25 points. From the charity stripe, Blunt hit his gimmees when it counted to seal the deal and get the W in overtime.
