While Uptempo is pacing the Downtown Conference, Terminator and Air Force 1 are going to be battling all season. After both teams started the season 1-1, Terminator won a close one against Delta Force and Air Force 1 lost a close one against Generation. The year is 2010 though now folks, so it's anyone's game.
The overall story so far for these teams has been consistency - and that is in large part to missing key players in key games. Terminator struggles when they don't have Dan Gladstone, just as Air Force 1 seems lost without Paul Rivera. And just so you know, word on the street is that Rivera will be absent again this week.
Key Matchup: Omar Grant vs. Brandon Smith
Somehow it always comes down to three-point shooting. Last week, Grant was 3-for-5 from beyond the arc to go with 20 points. Smith on the other hand was 3-for-8. While many people know Smith as one of the League's most prolific three-point threats, he's shooting 8-for-22 on the year, while Grant has been much more accurate, to the tune of 7-for-11. One less make to go with 11 less attempts, and you've got yourself a battle.
