- Team Delta Force V. Team Dunk

Week 13 Recap: Delta Force vs. Dunk

Delta Force 41, Dunk 31

While I did have food poisoning, this game might have been the thing to induce vomiting. Like the start of the UConn/Stanford NCAA Women's Championship Game, neither of these two teams could put points on the board. At the 12-minute mark in the first half, Shox led 7-4. At the nine-minute mark, Shox led 7-6. Let's just say that it was ugly.

Also, one thing that Delta Force GM Damian Bulluck did was try and mix up the lineup. Perhaps it was for disciplinary reasons, or perhaps it was because he had no visible tattoos, but No. 1 pick David Jacoby started the game on the bench. To show how out of it the entire gym was, Christian Grant-Fields couldn't stop talking about his IMDB page and how his STARmeter rating was skyrocketing. I just checked, and it says: "Down 51% in popularity this week." Ooh...

Anyways, in the second half, Delta Force finally started to get it together, jumping out to a 22-17 lead with 14 minutes to play. Despite tons of turnovers and hectic basketball being played both ways, Delta Force was making the extra pass. And this is what kept them in the lead the majority of the game.

Late in the fourth quarter though, Dunk made a run. Ryan Kearney hit a big three to cut the lead down to 32-26, and then Steve Halo followed with a circus shot to make it 32-28. But that was as close as they would get. Perhaps taking my advice and starting Jose Carlson, the point guard was making key moves down the stretch. As Rafael DaSilva pointed out, good point guards are hard to come by.

Also, big shout out to Erskin Felix who was the "sixth man" for Delta Force on the sidelines. Cheering on his former team, Felix definitely gave them the boost that they needed.

Final score: Delta Force wins, 41-31.
