Pre-season Uptown Conference favorites Huarache have plummeted down the Power Rankings to No. 7. Week after week it looks like the Top 3 teams are solidifying their rank.
10. Hyperflight - Led by Derrin Woodhouse's 13 points, Hyperflight battled with a much bigger Shox team during the Week Two nightcap, but ultimately they couldn't pull out the W. The league's only 0-3 team has yet to break out of the cellar. These guys get a much-needed bye to figure everything out this week.
9. Terminator - Without Tony Chan in the lineup (because of injury), Term doesn't have a true point guard. Moving sharpshooter Brendan Callahan to the one takes away from his open looks from deep. All in all, these guys combined for a total of four assists last game.
8. Foamposite - Foam was off last week, and will have a big battle against No. 7 Huarache this week. If they can be as tough on the glass as they've been in their two games (25.5 rpg as a team), they could pull the upset and jump up the board.
7. Huarache - It wasn't pretty for Huarache last week. One of the most talented teams in NRF only mustered 35 points on 28% shooting from the floor. Even worse, they were 2-21 from beyond the arc.
6. Generation - Coming off a bye week, Generation ran into one of the hottest teams in the league. But it wasn't just that Dunk put up another impressive offensive outing. Generation wasn't in sync on their end, converting only 5 assists, which were more than offset by 14 TO's.
5. Delta Force - With Damian Bullock at the point, we got to see what Delta Force is really capable of. They're a bruising squad. DF pulled down 37 rebounds, 16 of which came on the offensive end. If this squad wants every game this badly, they're capable of doing serious damage.
4. Shox - Perhaps the best two-man tandem in NRF got another game under their belt. Jason Burke and Will Eberhart looked like they were clicking for the first time this young season, as they combined for 41 points and 18 boards in their win over Hyperflight.
3. Dunk - Even when Bobbito Garcia is on the bench, Dunk is still lethal. The NRF MVP through three games Will Blunt posted his third straight double-double, and he's officially now leading the league in both points and reboundings (20 ppg, 15.5 rpg).
2. Air Force 1 - AF1 had a bye last week, but they can't be bumped from the No. 2 position just yet. This spot is completely up for grabs when they face off against No. 3 Dunk tomorrow night.
1. Uptempo - Even when they shot 57% from the stripe, Uptempo still took Terminator to task last week. Mike Won was at his best, as the step-back pull-up was good money all game. When that's working for Uptempo, could they be unbeatable?
