Last week Huarache beat the best team in the NRF, Shox, with simply good team basketball.
Ryan "Passion of the NRF" Kearney iced the game with two of the biggest free throws of his life. At times, this Huarache team looks like the formidable opponent that made it to the championship game last year. In their first meeting, Huarache's infamous D held Uptempo to a season low in points. Uptempo's arsenal of weapons (and a few questionable calls) fended off Huarache by the narrow margin of 4. Uptempo will look to return to the top of the NRF totem pole with a victory against their rivals.
Key Matchup: Huarache's Defense vs. Uptempo's Ball Movement
In their last matchup, Huarache got after it on the defensive end with a 3-2 zone that had Terrence Chin (NRF's X & O specialist) baffled. Uptempo will need to move the ball with precision, like they finally did late in the game which helped them pull out the narrow victory.
