This could be Foamposite's worst nightmare or their best-case situation. On one hand, they just got whooped up on by Generation - a 68-36 loss in which they couldn't do much of anything. If they're still reeling from that loss, they might step onto the court flat-footed against NRF's only undefeated squad and watch the three-point fireworks begin. Or, they could go out with a "nothing to lose" mentality, and try to outhustle AF1 in transition and on the boards.
Key Matchup: Chris Dowling vs. Ron Jackson
Even if these guys don't guard each other, they will both play a big part in determining their team's success this week.
Chris Dowling has been a monster as of late for AF1, splitting zones right down the middle with quick decision-making and accurate shooting inside the paint. If Foam decides to zone AF1 to help them get out on shooters
Paul Rivera,
Eric Raymundo and
Brandon Smith, watch PR feed Dowling at the high post all game long.
On the flip side,
Ron Jackson is an ox, and he could do damage against AF1's front lines. Though
David Morrissey is a big body who can bang down low, Jackson embodies a blend of power and quickness. If he can have a monster game, Foam could come up with a big-time upset.
