This week in the NRF I witnessed two things I never thought possible: (1) me getting into a 2XL uniform, and (2) Bobbito getting shook out his AJ 2009s. The first was just a situation of circumstance. I just got a court order to do 100 sit-ups a day, we got the win and the case is closed. Now back to Bob…

Bobby Jones came down the court, approached Bob, and began to raise up. As this happened, Bobbito froze as Bobby Jones broke it back down to the floor with an awkward-but-hard crossover in route to the basket where he was fouled, made the basket and hit the free throw.

This sequence had more ingredients that a Subway sandwich, thus Halo and I named this move the “Five Dollar Footlong.” (Pause.) Yes Bobbito, you got hit with a Five Dollar Footlong. (Pause.) Are the days of the Mango Tango fading? I think not, because right after this minor bruise to the legacy, Bobbito proceeded to hit two deep threes just to let ’em know it still can happen, son!

Now I must get to the terrrrible, and we will start with our trusty score and timekeepers. Does anybody find some discrepancies with scores or stats? Glance at the scorer’s table and it’s a F’n Chinese buffet over there. Scorebook is covered with soy sauce and the scoreboard keypad is glazed with sweet & sour sauce. You don’t think I get hungry on the bench? Keep our games accurate or pass off the food.

Big shout to Gabe Urist for playing in Icy White AF1’s. I guess you must do something until we get our shoes… Also, R.I.P. to Ricardo’s ankles for wearing those Jack Purcell’s with church socks. Gonna pour out some coconut water every time you cut to the basket. That is a disaster waiting to happen.
