After a 24-week season and two rounds of playoff action, we've finally arrived. The prognosticators have prognosticated, the haters have hated and the trash talk (from both sides) has been spoke, served and left in anonymous comments on the site. While there were a bunch of teams that had a chance this season, we wouldn't want it any other way. Both Uptempo and Huarache come into this final matchup with a matching 17-3 record. But who's going to get lucky No. 18?
Key Matchup: Scott Williams vs. Billy Dodson
Less than a month ago, Huarache let the wind out of Uptempo's sail. And while the positive PR coming out of the Uptempo camp was that they were glad to lose that game before the playoffs, it's hard to believe them. In that meeting, Uptempo finished with only 32 points and no one cracked double digits ...
READ MORE >Because it's been a long season, people often forget that one of Uptempo's three losses came at the hands of Terminator. In that Week 6 game, the overtime victory was behind the brilliant efforts of Omar Grant and Al Reyes. But if they're going to want to upset the two-time defending champions, they're going to have to have the whole team contribute. Two weeks later in Week 8, Uptempo won 65-53 behind 20-point efforts from both Scott Williams and Mike Won. But as everyone knows, a lot has changed since late-Januaray.
Key Matchup: Omar Grant vs. Scott Williams
Without a doubt, there's no one more tenacious on the court than these two guys. And with the season series tied 1-1, this game could be the best we've seen all year. On paper, you'd have to go with Uptempo to make it back to ...
READ MORE >If history is any premonition of the future, in the two games that these two teams already played this season, Huarache won both. In Game 1 back in Week 9, a balanced attack along with a huge game from Darius Broadwater led to a 57-43 victory. In Game 2 back in Week 15, it was super sub Roscoe that got buckets en route to a 54-48 win. This week, while the supporting cast will be huge, it's all on the starters. Kobe doesn't like to Sasha in the Final Four; he gets it done. As for Generation, they know that they still haven't faced Huarache after their mid-season acquisition of Dan Solomito. Add for their sake, they hope he's the difference.
Key Matchup: Joe Branch vs. LeKeith Taylor
While these two are often perceived as bigs, they'd much rather play the three. And with the ...

While Vegas hasn’t gotten back to me, this game appears to be a pick ‘em. Both teams have talent, and as with any week, it will matter whether or not they can field their whole team. But with the season on the brink, Generation’s experience from the Garden last season should give them the slight advantage.
Key Matchup: Brian Bachelor vs. Dan Solomito
Normally it’s not the rookies that come up huge, but these two guys are their team’s X-factors. Bachelor came on late in the season and displayed an impressive arsenal, while Solomito started the season on an absolute tear. In their first postseason action, can they tip the scales?

Air Force 1 skated through the entire season, while Terminator proved to be in the Top-3. But in the playoffs, everyone’s record is 0-0. And so is the score at the start of the game. If both teams can bring their full lineup, this game should be a great one to watch, as there is definitely the potential for an upset. Do technicals carry over into the postseason?
Key Matchup: Paul Rivera vs. Omar Grant
While Rivera has played about as much as Allen Iverson did this year, I doubt that he’ll miss this game. Especially because he has to go against Grant. The last time these two matched up, it was like watching pit bulls go at in a Michael Vick Fantasy Camp. Snarls included. We’ll see who can come through with the season on the line.

After missing the postseason last year, overall, Hyperflight has to be happy with their season. Too bad their last memory from the year will be Huarache dunking on them. While the nightmares will eventually go away, it appears no one can stand in the way of Huarache’s title aspirations. Just ask two-time defending champions Uptempo who got dismantled last week.
Key Matchup: Chad Gittens vs. Terance Takyi
While Game 1 is all about offense, this game is all about defense. As the soon-to-be-named Defensive Player of the Year, Takyi wreaks havoc all over the court. And if Hyperflight wants to try and pull off a David vs. Goliath victory, they’re going to have to contain Huarache’s playmaker. Can Gittens hamper the rookie? We’ll see.
READ MORE >Back to the drawing board is right. While Al Gore may have won the popular vote, George W. Bush won the electoral. And with that, Delta Force is back in the playoffs, and Dunk has gone fishing. After getting dismantled last week in the marquee matchup against Huarache, Uptempo is coming in with an axe to grind. And as the back-to-back defending champs, they want to make it back to the Garden. But Delta Force is looking to play the role of Cinderella.
Key Matchup: Kelvin Coffey vs. Scott Williams
Nothing has changed. This one is going to be all offense, all the time. And while we know Williams and Uptempo can put points on the board, Delta Force is going to need Coffey to play like the former MVP he is. Every time these two teams have played each other, it's been a tough, physical game. And now ...
READ MORE >With identical 7-10 records, the Air Force 1 vs. Foamposite matchup concludes inter-league play for this week. And it should be a good game. Depending on who shows up, these two teams should both be over .500 on the year, but have both underachieved. Locked in at no higher than the third seed, at this point it's all about developing a rhythm. Can they make some noise in the playoffs? We'll see.
Key Matchup: Jason Burke vs. David Jacoby
The last time these two teams met back in Week 18, Air Force 1 squeaked out a 52-50 win. I just know that Foamposite wants their revenge. Air Force 1 has had trouble fielding numbers recently, and playing in the Divorce Special shouldn't help their efforts. But if they show up, be in for a great game to close out the night.
READ MORE >While the first two games are between teams fighting to make it into the playoffs, the 9 o'clock matchup is most likely what we'll be seeing inside the Garden: Huarache vs. Uptempo. Like the Celtics and the Lakers, these two teams are by far the best two squads we've seen all year. And no matter what happens, someone's going home with a third loss on the year after this one.
Key Matchup: Billy Dodson vs. Scott Williams
The two teams haven't matched up since Week 4 (December 16, 2009) and so much has changed since then. But even the first time around, it was a great game as Uptempo eked out the 50-48 victory. For each squad, it's going to come down to their best scorer - which means you should expect big games from Dodson and Williams. This might be better than a Celtics ...
READ MORE >While Delta Force vs. Dunk is an important game for teams trying to get into the playoffs, Hyperflight vs. Dunk is an important one for teams trying to stay in them. With a loss on Wednesday, either one of these teams could find themselves on the outside looking in when it's all said in done. So to solidify that spot, they better show up ready to play.
Key Matchup: Jeremy Siler vs. Will DuBose
When it comes to athletic big men in the NRF, these two are some of the prime examples. Siler (when he's focused) can drop 20 and 10, and DuBose is just a ticking time bomb waiting to explode. Most likely matched up with one another this Wednesday, it will be interesting to see who gets off first. (Pause.)
